Merry McKinney Christmas

McKinney is Merry & Bright as Christmas day draws near. The cool crispness in the air only heightens the excitement of holiday cheer. The town square is filled with shoppers galore as they admire the new shops and the quaint atmosphere.

Stop by the Antique Company Mall on E. Virginia St. for some Holiday Spirit!

Monday

So many posts, So little time!

I have all these ideas for posts floating around in my head and I can't seem to find any extra time right now to work on them. I gather I am not the only one with this problem. I have noticed quite a few of my blog friends have fewer posts than usual.
I am still decorating my house, shopping, wrapping, cooking, cleaning ... I was trying to finish the mantel treatment last night when I commented to my dear hubby that I seem to be moving in slow motion this year. He said it was because I was a grandma now. I replied, "Thanks, old man!"

Here are some photos of a few of my frames I have for sale at
If you are looking for a unique gift for someone special - this is the store you need to visit!

Creme de la Creme

Cream of the Cream. Yep, that was exactly what this wonderful home tour was last Thursday in Abilene. Sharon's home was where the Society of Quaint Old Homes held their December meeting. This is a group of women who meet monthly and have a love of old homes. Most of the members either own an old home or have in the past. They are not afraid to hold a paint brush, hammer or climb a ladder. I have been part of this unique group since I was pregnant with my first son. He is now 27 years old. It has been quite challenging to make some of the meetings as my dear Hubby and I moved away from my hometown of Abilene (four times now). I cherish each time I have been able to spend time with my sweet friends and enjoy being part of their lives. I am always uplifted and inspired.

I knew as soon as I walked up on the front porch I was in for a treat!

The table was almost too pretty to disturb. ALMOST..

Every room was filled with sunshine and bright colors. Very cheery.

I believe these kitties have the right idea!

Thanks Sharon!!! (Your house should be in a magazine.)
