Studio Snippets

I have the best studio in the world. I love to hide away and see what concoctions I come up with. My art table is from my sweet friend Roxanne's Studio. Check out her BLOG. She has been such an inspiration to me over the years. Her talent and God filled personality are so contagious when you spend time with her.
I have learned so much from her including how to paint a bird's nest.
It is only fitting that I spotted a little pink birdie on the table when I took this photo...

I have cubby cabinets everywhere. Teeny tiny supplies can find their places.

Bigger supplies  are in quick view too.

A girl never knows what she will need for the  next project...

I even found a spot for a nest.
I have to admit that I tend to be a very messy
artist. No panning out with the camera.
 Nope, not yet.

The Round Top Haul

You want to know what we bought on our Round Top trip?
Well, it wasn't this broom display.
I was just about to run the lady over in front of me when I spotted it and thought it was $32.00.  My heart sank when I saw the 5 added to the 32.....I guess they looked it up on Ebay....

Anyway, we did find plenty of other goodies to buy. I have learned to take a photo of items I need to pick up later. Mainly to remind myself and also so the vendor doesn't do any switch- a- roos
on me. This actually happened at Canton one time. I bought a door and came back to pick it up the next day and didn't realize until after I got home that it wasn't the same door.
My mother use to say
"Live and learn".

We found some things to put in the Antique Mall and a few to keep for ourselves.

This dresser is going in our French themed guest bedroom.

I always manage to sneak in some rusty and crusty pieces.
Mr. Ella rolls his eyes because they usually
aren't trailer packing friendly.

He was happy though when I agreed that he needed this cabinet for his new workshop! You know
you have to keep those dear hubbies smiling!!

At the end of a fun trip we Mr. Ella packed the trailer and we headed home.
People walking by wanted to know where we were setting up so they could shop there!
You can find us in McKinney....

Round Top in my Dreams

I was looking through my phone photos I snapped  after my recent trip to the
Round Top Antique Week and
I decided that I could just live there.
Let me show you around....

I would have a beautiful comfy bed...

A chippy chest of drawers for my clothes...

A place to entertain my friends...

Jiggs, my own butler...

I could even do a little work...

Maybe I wouldn't have to work...

Yes, I could live Happily Ever After...
