Texas Bling

I was coming out of the store yesterday and stopped dead in my tracks when I saw a sparkling glare coming from the back of an SUV. I turned and saw indeed the most unique Texas license plate frame I had ever seen. I only had my camera phone with me, so the quality of the photo makes it hard to tell how it was made. All around the plate were rhinestones. The thing is, it was very well done. I am not sure how it wasn't gaudy, but it was kind of pretty. Now, I am not saying I would have it on my car, but I might want to hang out with the lady who has the Texas getty-up to pull this off. I was tempted to go back in the store and see if I could spot who I thought matched up with this bling. If only I hadn't bought those two bags of ice I might have a new best friend.

ChiChi Calendars

I just found a fun new word (new to me). I think I will start using and see if it catches on. CHICHI.

Here is what Reference.com had to say:

ChiChi - pronounced [shee-shee]

adjective
1.
affectedly trendy and fashionable

noun
1.
someone who dresses in a trendy fashionable way
2.
elegance by virtue of being fashionable

Origin: 1905–10; French

I thought the calendars pictured below were dressed up so chichi. These creative women have made these advent calendars, but I thought you could have magnets on the months and change it out. Households with children (and children at heart) would enjoy all the quirky ways to form the numbers. I added the link to the sites where I found these.

So, clean out your junk drawer and use your imagination!

Indecision

I can't decide on what blog background and header I want. I am trying to go for a new look, but I like the old look.
I just listened to a sermon this morning where the minister talked about how we can't grow if we do not accept change. He wasn't talking about big radical changes, but looking ahead and being there for opportunities to add to our small and new congregation. Anyway, I know I need to apply that to my life and how I look at growth.
So, please be patient with me when you click on my blog and it is the twentieth background and header in a span of 3 hours!
I know, I will find what I am looking for...

Thanks for visiting ,
