Friday Flea Market

These cream and black toile stickers were featured on the Avalon Rose Blog recently. Cathy pulls photos of items from the websites she designs and artistically arranges them together under "Things I Love". I was excited to see my stickers included in a her cyber window shopping trip! You can order these stickers at Ella Elaine. $3.50 per package.

Office Organization

Organizing. Yikes! This does not come easy to me since I am a natural pack rat and I love to make messes. Enough is enough though. I was inspired by books and magazines to get my act together. It is a very painful process. The end results will be worth every agonizing moment...
I have started by placing frequently used items in glass jars on shelves behind my desk. I simply have to glance around to find what I need.
I will let you in on my journey as I make progress and have time to post the photos.

Send me any tips you have!!!

Thursday

Oo Farm

What a day to remember! Before my husband, daughter and I visited the Lavender Farm we spent half a day at Oo Farm just down the road. This farm supplies the upscale Lahaina eateries Pacific'O, I'O and The Feast at Lele with organic produce.
Our table was set for the lunch we would be served later prepared by our own chef with fresh veggies and fruits from the gardens.

Raspberries.

Strawberries being grown in the greenhouse.

Leah, my daughter, noticed these flowers matched her polish... Dear Hubby rolled his eyes when we took this photo!

Leah is talking to Louie. He is one of the owners of the Farm and Eateries. They also have a boutique, Maggie Columbe , in Lahaina where Leah works. Louie is telling us about his new espresso machine. He has about ten small coffee trees and was roasting beans while we were there. He invited us to come by after the tour for a cup of espresso. We couldn't wait because the coffee aroma was wonderful!
Louie's Rover. Too cute.

While we were listening for the bell to ring for lunch, we stopped back by and had that exquisite fresh cup of espresso. I am not even a coffee drinker, but I could get used to this... yum!

As I was sipping my cup of joe, I snapped a photo of this old wall. I must say my family thinks I am a little quirky at times.

Our peace was interrupted by the lunch bell. We didn't want to leave the moment, but if we had only known what was in store for us next!

Our lunch was cooked in the nicest outdoor kitchen I think I have ever seen. Especially out in the country.

Our chef finishing up the last minute touches to our meal.
I think I could cook here.
I wish I would have taken more pictures of the meal, but everyone was waiting to dig in.
It was so delicious. I did not want the day to end. The weather started out hot, but as soon as we sat down to eat the breeze turned cool and it felt very Fall-ish.

Okay, being a Diva in the country just doesn't work.

Our view.
I am soo ready to go back.

Monday

Lavender Fields Forever

Breathtaking lavender.

Guess where I am in this photo. I am on the the cloud crowned slope of the Haleakala Crater on the Island of Maui. Was that your first guess?

What a treat to walk around and just soak in God's hand at work.

Lavender clumps dotting the hill with the calming clouds above.
My dear hubby down the hill wondering if he can get cell reception and what time it is back home.

It was very tranquil and peaceful looking up the hill.

These are olive trees guarding the parking lot.
So European.

My daughter, Leah, was so excited to see Eucalyptus growing.

They had other flowers blooming besides lavender. The hydrangeas lined a whole walkway.
We saw roses too, but I missed taking their photo.

I think I could work here...

Fall Note

I went over to my booth in McKinney today to pick up my check.
There was a note attached telling the vendors it was time to start decorating the booths for Christmas now. Now?? What happened to Fall ya'll?

Sunday

So Quaint

Last Thursday a group of some of my favorite Ladies held the "Quaint Marketplace" in Abilene, Texas. Fun, friends and a fleamarket. I was giddy like a child the night before Christmas.

My talented friend, Jo Carol, wrote this message for me to display at the front of my table.

This is her creative display. She also has photos on her blog Bunnytrails.

Her table of pretties.

Molly's Table. She has more creativity in her little pinkie than many people have in their whole life time! Check out her blog photos at Molly B's.

Surrounded by talent I had to practice self control not to buy all of Roxanne's goodies. She also has great photos posted at Roxanne the Artist.

My table.

It was easy to make everything look good with such a stunning background.

The baby hangers were a hit.
My dear hubby made the soldered necklaces.

Some of my rusty elements I had for sale.

Kaye's pretty in pink yummies.

Mary's table of her wonderful handpainted crosses, checker boards and much more of her beautiful artwork.
Her blog photos are at Gracious Goodness.

They came...

and came...

and came.
